The Apprentice 2011
After some fierce auditions, I was selected as one of sixteen hopefuls competing to win a £250,000 investment to fund my business ideas and become Lord Sugar's business partner. I applied to take part in The Apprentice (Series 7) process for three key reasons. Firstly, I had a strong and burning desire to put myself in a highly challenging environment that would stimulate my thinking; secondly, I also wanted to exercise my burning entrepreneurial spirit; and thirdly, for me, it was just about pushing myself to take on a completely new and big risk.
I became known for my assertive style and making forthright statements like: "A limp handshake is unforgiveable".
I absolutely loved taking part in the process, and would even count the most stressful and less unsavoury parts amongst my biggest achievements. From the very start of the programme, for 5 consecutive weeks, I was part of the winning team. This meant I experienced lots of end of week "treats" before finally hearing those dreaded words from Lord Alan Sugar "with regret, you're fired!" in week six. Amongst my many achievements, in week two, I project managed the girls' team to victory and helped to create a 24-hour global mobile phone app. I led the team that developed a mobile phone app that was downloaded by over 10,000 people worldwide!
I learnt so much from the development process, which inspired me to develop a mobile phone app that help will help you to immediately develop your business skill sets.

Edna's Gloves
Edna's gloves - The gloves are off!
I just love wearing accessories like gloves, scarves and jewellery. For the six weeks I was on The Apprentice 2011 programme, I generated a lot of interest in my fashion and style. In fact, I became well-known for the gloves I wore.

The most famous pair of gloves I have is arguably the pair given to me as a gift from Dara O'Brien on the BBC2 show The Apprentice: You're Fired. I will be auctioning those lovely, long, black and red, frilly gloves on e-bay - hoping to raise lots of money for a good cause. All the proceeds will be given to a special charity that specialises in providing donors for people with leukaemia and other blood-related disorders called the ACLT.
